Becoming Safely Embodied: A Skills-Based Group Using Yoga and Mindfulness to Help Heal Trauma


A group designed to help individuals develop skills for coping with past or current trauma. Over the course of 8 weeks, participants will explore topics of understanding triggers, self-soothing strategies, mindful movement, meditations, and choice, to assist in regulation of the nervous system and healthy ways of being in the world. Trauma informed yoga practices including asana, breath work, relaxation techniques, mudra & meditation will be woven into the group topics throughout the 8 weeks.

  • No yoga experience necessary                                                                                      
  • Participant is required to have an outside individual therapist                                      
  •  The Sessions will include yoga practice, please dress accordingly in clothes you are able to move and breath in.

When: Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:15 pm for 8-weeks, beginning on September 19, 2017.

Cost: $40 per group/week, can pay by week or in full for the 8 weeks

Insurance accepted: Anthem/BCBS, Aetna 

Payment: Cash or check
